AnSyn's technology is based on several years of research. Our
focus is to develop analog design tools based on new ideas and
innovations in order to help our customers take on even more
challenging design tasks.

|
Guaranteeing Yield. Producing optimized
circuits with high yield is essential. The built-in methods for
yield optimization include support for local and global process
variations and operating conditions. Both corners and statistical
methods can be used to ensure robust circuits.
|
|

|
Performance evaluation. AnSyn's proprietary
circuit simulator EqSim is designed to solve the explicit needs in
an optimization-based design tools. Especially, EqSim can
significantly reduce simulation time without loss of accuracy when
performance needs to be evaluated repeatedly, as in the case in
optimization-based sizing and yield estimation. Alternatively, a
3rd party circuit simulators, such as HSpice®,
Eldo®, or Spectre®,
may be used with AnSyn's optimization platform.

|
Circuit optimization. Analog Dimension's
unique optimization solution enables design without any initial
sizing of devices. Instead, the tool automatically searches the
design space to find an optimal set of device sizes. Using the
efficiency of EqSim, extensive exploration of the design space can
be performed to find an optimal solution. Analog Dimensions and
EqSim have built-in support for distributed optimization and
simulation, meaning that a cluster of workstations may be used to
increase the simulation and/or optimization speed.

|

|
Reduce design time. Replacing tedious manual tasks with
automated software reduces both the total design time and the
manual effort to complete the design. The manual design time is
also kept low due to Analog Dimensions user-friendly graphical
interface and tight integration with several design flows.
|
|

|
Design space exploration. Analog Dimensions
contains powerful design space exploration methods that can be
used to visualize trade-offs and performance limitations. In
Analog Dimensions these trade-offs are based on true circuit-level
performance evaluations, which can serve as reliable basis for
decision-making.
|
|

|
Hierarchical design. The hierarchical design
methodology used in Analog Dimensions enables design over several
levels of hierarchy. This methodology in combination with short
design times and co-optimization possibilities reduce the need to
translate performance requirements through several levels of
hierarchy.
|
|

|
Retargeting. Analog Dimensions is ideal for
retargeting. The ability to hierarchically constrain circuits at
system level enables fast migration of large designs to new
process technologies while taking advantage of available
performance improvements.
|
|

|
Design report. Analog Dimensions
can generate documentation of the final design. The report
contains information such as design settings and the performance
results. It also aims at bridging the gap between designers
working at different stages of the design path.
For example, node sensitivities and device matching are computed and
documented to simplify circuit layout.
